The Silence
RRR00001
Mar's debut album 'The Silence' was recorded in Reykjavick, Iceland on the invitation of Sigur Ros. ‘The Silence’ features Jimmy LaValle (of The Album Leaf, Black Heart Procession and Tristeza) and Samuli Kosminen (of MúM). The Album Was Produced By Gunnar Tynes, Samuli Kosminen, Axel Arnason and Jimmy LaValle. 'The Silence' is a drowsy drifting affair with whispery male vocals that not unsurprisingly nestles in perfectly with the Lavalle and Kosminen's main projects. Reidy mines the aching emotional depths with a delicate touch countered with a grand regality that has become the trademark of Icelandic bands.
“Their music has always suggested to me a wide palette of emotional landscapes. No other band I’ve ever worked with has sounded like them.”
-Daniel Coston, Rolling Stone contributing photographer
