Thomason Sounds of Japan released Mar’s album ‘The Sound’ on December 14th, 2007. In the final two weeks of December over 800 albums were sold.

‘The Sound’ is now available on Apple iTunes, iTunes Europe, and Napster.

‘Mother Star Sun’ from Mar’s new album ‘The Sound’ is now playing in Starbucks across the USA.

Mar is planning a tour of Japan sometime in the spring of 2008 and in Europe in the fall of 2008.

     Mar recorded Ring Road Records’ latest release, ‘The Sound,’ at Peace Mountain Lodge in Eureka Springs, Arkansas in July 2007. Joining Mar on this record was world-renowned cellist Zoe Keating, who is well known for work that she has done with Imogen Heap and Rasputina. Also joining Mar was violinist Anton Patzner of Bright Eyes. “Flex” Arnason produced, engineered, and mixed the album.
